Join us on Friday November 3rd at the ABOV Gallery (444 North Wells Street / Suite 205) as we open “Art Beyond Our Vision—the Familiar & the Foreign”. A colorful mix of themes where nature provides the canvas, landscape processes the design and science adds the color. From Japan to Brazil, India to Greenland and Saudi Arabia—see how the ABOV artists blur the distinction between the familiar and the foreign.

Also, the first two images from Stuart Black's “Shooting the Past” series will debut Friday night. These retro-styled black and white creations are based on photos acquired by Cold War satellites from the 1960-1970s. The “Shooting the Past” series provides a window to the past—an opportunity to revisit a place of interest in a previous generation. Chicago and Lake Shore Drive from the year 1968 will be the first two images released with additional images to follow.
